The best historical romance I've read in a long time. Amazing characterization and a charming hero and heroine with an intense connection. Plus, I really admire the way Hoyt creates a conflict that I honestly couldn't see a way out of. Simon thinks he must avenge his brother's death, and Lucy thinks killing is wrong, and I sympathized completely with them both. I didn't see how they could possibly meet in the middle--and then they did, because that's the power of love! My favorite of the "Prince" trilogy.
